our classes
Our programs encourage hands-on participation to encourage the full development of every child physically, academically, emotionally, and socially. This hands-on approach is developed through learning centers which assist the teacher in creating challenging educational experiences for the child. Skills and strategies are developed that are necessary for a successful and confident student.
Music class, gym class and Zumba, field trips, arts and crafts, computers, language arts, science, games, and stories are an essential part of all our programs.
Our programs include the development of good listening skills, manipulative skills, language development and readiness skills as well as seasonal programs. From our toddlers to our kindergarteners, Good Day offers our students a variety of programs that outshine other schools!
Toddler
The toddler program began in 2020 has grown ever since! Our 1-2 year olds fit right into the class and are kept busy playing and learning each day. They work on gross motor skills, potty training and learning the routine of school. Toddlers receive a strong foundation in a loving environment at Good Day. They achieve small steps toward achieving personal growth which leads to a seamless step-up transition to the our pre-school program.
Preschool
2 OR 3 HALF DAYS (AM or PM) with FULL DAY OPTION
Our 2 1/2 – 3 year preschool Half Day program is taught by Miss Janet and the Full Day preschool class is taught by Miss Chris. The class offers children an introduction to school focused around a basic knowledge of the letters of the alphabet, colors, shapes and numbers. We also focus on large and fine motor skill as well as promoting positive social interactions between preschool classmates and their peers. Other activities include art, computers and learning stations. The Half Day is a 2 ½ hour class with snack included, the Full Day program can accommodate children between the hours of 7:15 am – 5:00 pm.
Pre-Kindergarten
2 OR 3 HALF DAYS (AM or PM) with FULL DAY OPTION
The Half Day program is taught by Miss Patty and the Full Day program is taught by Miss Jeni. This class is for children 4 years old who will be entering Kindergarten for the following school year. This program consists of age appropriate activities including but not limited to pre-reading and writing skills as well as topics in the subject areas of math, science and social studies. Other activities include art, computers and learning stations. Positive social interactions between peers are stressed during the entire learning day. The Half Day is a 3 hour class with a snack included, the Full Day program can accommodate children between the hours of 7:15 am – 5:00 pm.
Kindergarten
Our full day Kindergarten is an academically focused class taught by Miss Cheryl. Our structured program teaches all subject areas including math, science, social studies and phonics which includes reading and writing. Students graduate from this class well prepared for a seamless transition to First Grade and future success in elementary school. We also have gym and music class weekly. A morning and afternoon snack is provided as well, parents must supply lunch. Instructional hours are 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. Extended day hours are available to accommodate families from 7:15 am – 5:00 pm.
